Objects with a maker.
Anatolia Editions is a small, curated shop for objects made by independent workshops across Anatolia. We choose a handful of pieces, produce them in small numbered editions, and bring them to the UK with delivery, VAT and customs already taken care of.
Why we exist
Anatolia is full of skilled makers working in wood, copper, clay, leather and textile. Most of them have no easy way to reach customers abroad: no English website, no export department, no time for marketing. At the same time, people in the UK who care about how things are made rarely get to know who made the object in their hands.
We sit in the middle. We visit the workshops, select the pieces, agree the finish and details with the maker, photograph and describe them honestly, and handle sales, customer service and delivery. The maker keeps doing what they do best.
How we choose
- Design first. A piece has to earn its place in a modern home on its own merits, not because of where it comes from.
- Real materials. Solid wood, real metal, natural finishes. No veneers pretending to be something else.
- A known maker. Every piece is traceable to the workshop that made it.
- Small editions. Each design is made in a limited, numbered run.
Edition 01 — Walnut & Chestnut
Our first edition is a small collection of watch cases in solid walnut and chestnut, made by hand in a woodworking workshop in Ankara and finished with natural oil.
